Biography
Nehru Kandasamy (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in 2005, M.E. degree in VLSI Design in 2007 with best outgoing student award received from R.M.K Engineering college in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering with low power VLSI specialization from Anna University in 2014. He completed PG Certification AICTE QIP program on “Cyber Security and Digital Forensics “from January 2026 to June 2026. He is a Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kangeyam Institute of Technology and Science. Prior to joining KIT, he worked as a professor/ECE in Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science from July 2022 to July 2026. He worked as a research fellow with the National University of Singapore, Singapore from 2019 to 2022. He has teaching experience with Institute of Aeronautical Engineering from 2015 to 2019, R.M.D Engineering College from 2012 to 2015, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2012. He has 17.8 years of experience in teaching and research in various institutions.
He is member of IEEE CS, IEEE CAS, IEEE EDS, IEEE YP and IEEE SSCS. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports and Discover Electronics Journal. He is an associate editor of the International Journal of Reconfigurable and Embedded Systems. He is the faculty advisor of MITS IEEE Circuits and Systems Society with effect from 2023 to 2025. He is a member of IEEE, ISTE, IACSIT, IAENG and UACEE. He has also published several peer reviewed articles on topics, including VLSI Design, Non-Volatile Memory Devices, AI and QCA. He received a young faculty award from Venus International Research Foundation. He has organized more than 30 programs including seminar, workshop, conference and FDP. He has participated in more than 50 programs like seminar, FDP and conferences. He is the reviewer of more than 25 Scopus indexed journal like IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on VLSI, Microelectronics Journal, Circuits, Systems and Signal processing, International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, IEICE Electronic Express and International Journal of Electronics Letter. His current research includes low power VLSI design, Quantum dot cellular automata, Non volatile Memory Devices, Logic in Memory Computing and Neuromorphic Computing.
