Short Bio
Dr. P. Manoj Kumar is a seasoned academician and researcher in Mechanical Engineering with over 17 years of teaching and research experience. He is a Ph.D. graduate from Anna University, Chennai, Dr. Manoj Kumar has made remarkable contributions in the areas of renewable energy systems, thermal energy storage, solar thermal systems, phase change materials, composite materials and sustainable engineering solutions. His research expertise is widely recognized, earning him a place in the World Top 2% Scientists list published by Stanford University and Elsevier for four consecutive years (2022–2025). He has authored and co-authored more than 100 research papers in reputed SCI/SCIE/Scopus-indexed international journals, with a cumulative impact factor 130+, and has a SCOPUS h-index of 42 and a Google Scholar h-index of 48. He has also authored/co-authored five books and five book chapters and presented over 100 papers in national and international conferences. He serves on the Editorial Board of high-impact Q1 journals like Scientific Reports (Springer Nature) and Buildings (MDPI) and has been a Guest Editor for special issues in journals such as Sustainability and Buildings. He is a recognized Ph.D. supervisor under Anna University, and he has guided several innovative student projects, some of which have received national-level recognition, including AICTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards. He has also filed seven patents (including two design patents granted), completed consultancy projects for renewable energy industries, and coordinated sponsored training programmes funded by NISE-MNRE and AICTE. Dr. P. Manoj Kumar is committed to enhancing the department’s students learning experience, research ecosystem, fostering industry-academia collaborations, and promoting sustainable technological solutions to address real-world challenges.
